The OR factor provides couseling services for rural New Mexico.  We offer services online sessions or face to face. We accept most insurance and offer other payment options. We offer flexible hours for services and are available 7:00am to 7:00pm, 7 days a week. We look forward to working with you!


Debra M Perez, MA, LPCC, SCPG

Debra is a Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC). She began her career over 15 years ago in a community agency in Albuquerque, NM, serving children, adolescents, and adults in individual, family, and couples therapy. While working at the community agency, she also worked in an adolescent day treatment program providing individual, group, and family therapy to children and teens and their families. She then opened her own private practice in Albuquerque, NM, where she provided individual, couples, and family therapy to clients aged 3 through adult.
In addition to providing telebehavioral health therapy for The OR Factor, she is also a provider for TalkSpace. Debra is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in counseling education and supervision. Debra practices therapy from an integrative approach, tailoring therapy to the clients’ needs and goals. She is experienced in individual, couples, family, and group therapy working with children, teens, and adults. She is also holds a Specialty Certification in Problem Gambling (SCPG).

Sharon Miller, LCSW,MVF-CSW

Sharon is a clinical social worker, educator, and behavior support consultant. She has several years’ experience working in educational and mental health settings specifically with children, adults with disabilities, the Military, Veterans and their families.
In addition to traditional face to face appointments in an office setting, Sharon also strives to meet the technical needs of clients by using a combination of electronic platforms, including secure video and telephonic sessions. When working with clients, Sharon utilizes several approaches and customizes the treatment to meet the individual’s needs within the therapeutic setting.

Kimberly Byrne, L.I.S.W/L.C.S.W, LADAC

As a native to the State of New Mexico, Kimberly has been serving the local population since 1996. Upon completing her Master’s degree in Social Work in 2005 through New Mexico Highlands University, she became a Licensed drug and alcohol counselor, a Licensed clinical social worker and extended her trainings to ensure she would be able to provide the best possible services to her community.

Her trainings included, protective services, clinical training in private practice, military mental health and hospice as well as specialty trainings regarding the Native American, Hispanic and LGBT population. Her education and experiences have afforded her the opportunity to work with children/teens, adults and the geriatric populations. She uses her skills and knowledge to empower her clients so that they will be able to make the necessary changes in their lives, to better their current situation.
