The OR factor provides mental health services for rural New Mexico.  We offer services online sessions or face to face. We accept most insurance and offer other payment options. We offer flexible hours for services and are available 7:00am to 7:00pm, 7 days a week. We look forward to working with you!


Gerardo Wence- Munoz, LPCC

Gerardo is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. After completing his training in 2016 at Northeastern Illinois University, He began practicing psychotherapy and school counseling. In addition to caring for patients, Gerardo has experience as a professional school counselor, case management at a non-profit organization, and years of psychotherapy in private practice. His strengths are in individual counseling, couples counseling, assertive LGBT counseling, working with anxiety disorder, depression, etc. His therapeutic approaches include humanistic and cognitive-behavioral as well as existentialist. Gerardo is a fully bilingual (Spanish) and bicultural counseling. In his free time, He enjoy gardening, hiking, and traveling.




Debra is a Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC). She began her career over 17 years ago in a community agency in Albuquerque, NM, serving children, adolescents, and adults in individual, family, and couples therapy. While working at the community agency, she also worked in an adolescent day treatment program providing individual, group, and family therapy to children and teens with their families. She then opened her own private practice in Albuquerque, NM, where she provided individual, couples, and family therapy to clients aged 3 through adult.

She is currently providing telebehavioral health therapy for The OR Factor and is board certified to provide therapy online (BCTP-II). Debra has her doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision and teaches at multiple universities. Debra practices therapy from an integrative approach, tailoring therapy to the clients’ needs and goals. She is experienced in individual, couples, family, and group therapy working with children, teens, and adults. She is trained to integrate nutrition and diet into mental health treatment and is a Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP). She also holds a Specialty Certification in Problem Gambling (SCPG).

Kimberly Byrne, L.I.S.W/L.C.S.W, LADAC

As a native to the State of New Mexico, Kimberly has been serving the local population since 1996. Upon completing her Master’s degree in Social Work in 2005 through New Mexico Highlands University, she became a Licensed drug and alcohol counselor, a Licensed clinical social worker and extended her trainings to ensure she would be able to provide the best possible services to her community.

Her trainings included, protective services, clinical training in private practice, military mental health and hospice as well as specialty trainings regarding the Native American, Hispanic and LGBT population. Her education and experiences have afforded her the opportunity to work with children/teens, adults and the geriatric populations. She uses her skills and knowledge to empower her clients so that they will be able to make the necessary changes in their lives, to better their current situation.
